MANAGING DIRECTOR / PROPRIETOR
Nobody knows the West Australian building industry as well as John Mitchell! As the son of Universal Constructions founding member McKenzie (Mac) Mitchell, John has construction in his blood. He is a registered builder with experience in every aspect of commercial construction. Throughout his 57-year career, John has devoted a lifetime to the development of the industry, holding multiple roles with the Master Builders Association of Western Australia, including the highest role of President.
John`s primary focus is on the day-to-day running of the company, ensuring its continued growth and success for years to come.
John is a Registered Building Practitioner and hold a Assocaites Diploma of Public Administration.
Chris has over 30 years of global experience in construction and construction management across multiple sectors of the industry. His wealth of knowledge and experience spans the commercial and industrial sectors, with a special focus on programme sequencing, overseeing site management, and developing and implementing strategies for the management and ongoing improvement of onsite Occupation Health and Safety.
Chris is a member of the Safety Committee at the Master Builders Association of Western Australia, where he represents Universal Constructions and ensures the organisation remains up to date with the latest industrial and legislative regulations.
Chris holds an Associate Diploma of Applied Science (Construction) and is a Registered Building Practitioner.
Matthew started his building career with a carpentry apprenticeship, but his passion for financial analysis, estimating and project management soon led him to commercial construction. With over 16 years experience in both estimating and construction management, Matthew brings a broad depth of construction knowledge and experience to successfully oversee the management of all our projects, from estimatiion right through to completion.
Matthew holds an Associate Diploma of Building and Construction, a Graduate Certificate in Management and is a Registered Building Practitioner. He also represents Universal Constructions at the Master Builders Association of Western Australia as a Construction Council Member and Chairs the Future Leader Committee.
Matthew`s primary focus is aimed at continuous improvement and management of on going projects from early inception through to completion including estimation, contract administration, financial control and dispute resolution.
